Obedience Classes

Beginning

Length:

9 weeks, 55 minutes per week

Description:

Basic obedience. You will learn to teach your dog to heel, sit, stay, down, and come.

Class Fees:

$90
There is a $10 discount available to everyone with proof of adoption from an animal shelter or rescue organization.

Age of Dog:

6 months and older

Requirements:

Dogs must be current on DHPP and Rabies vaccinations. Pre-enrollment is required. Contact us for a registration packet.

Novice

Length:

Drop-in class (1 session), about 60 minutes

Description:

Continues your dog's training and goes into off-leash work. Prepares those wishing to compete in Novice obedience for the CD title.

6 months and older

Requirements:

For dogs that have completed a Beginning course. Dogs must be current on DHPP and Rabies vaccinations.

Open

Length:

Drop-in class (1 session), about 90 minutes
Combined with Novice

Description:

Prepares you to compete in the Open ring for a CDX title. Learn to teach your dog the retrieve, drop on recall, high jump, and broad jump.

Requirements:

For dogs that have a CD title or the approval of the class instructor. Dogs must be current on DHPP and Rabies vaccinations.

Utility

Length:

Drop-in class (1 session), about 90 minutes
May be combined with Novice

Description:

Prepares you to compete in the Utility ring for a UD title. Includes heeling with hand signals, scent discrimination, directed retrieving, and directed jumping.
